Experience
Prior to being called to the Bar, Soraya was a Crown Prosecutor at the ACT Director of Public Prosecutions. She prosecuted serious and complex crime and appeared extensively as counsel in trials, appeals, proceeds of crime matters, fitness to plead hearings and sentencing hearings in the ACT Supreme Court.
Soraya also worked as a Senior Lawyer at Legal Aid ACT within the Criminal Practice. She appeared on behalf of young people and clients with complex mental impairment.
Education
Soraya graduated from the Australian National University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Arts (International Relations).
